Hi, my name is Bitsy Dog Walker but everybody just calls me Bitsy. I was born on Thanksgiving day in 2007 and came to live with my human family when I was 7 weeks old. My Great Grandma was a Cocker Spaniel and my Great Grandpa was a Poodle and that makes me a Cockapoo. The first time Dad took me to the doctor she said that I was very smart and I needed a job. That was a polite way of saying I had way too much energy. Anyway Dad started taking me to school and I loved it! When I graduated I heard that people said I was the youngest dog that they ever knew to graduate from dog school. I still didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up but Dad knew I liked to be petted by people so after a while he took me to another school where I learned to be something he called a therapy dog. After I got out of that school we started going to a place where people would sit around and wait for me to come visit them. Boy, that was cool! People would talk real sweet to me and hold me and rub my fur. Now I've heard that there is another place that Dad wants to take me where children want to read to me. That sounds like heaven to me because children are my favorite people. I think I have found my job!

Elmo is a 7.5 year old shih tzu mix from the Greensboro SPCA. Before he was adopted, he was tied to a car for about 6 years for being a "bad" dog. Elmo has shown he is anything but bad! He loves to read with kids and visit nursing homes. His hobbies are cuddling his family's feet on the couch, playing with his toy stuffed animals, supervising (but rarely participating in) wrestling between his two dog brothers, and following his human mom everywhere. |

Lily was adopted from Carolina Border Collie Rescue in 2005 when she was about 1.5 years old. She is a very laid-back Border Collie who started her therapy dog career visiting an assisted living facility where she was a favorite among the residents. She has since started participating in the See Spot Read program at Fox Road Elementary School. Lily learned how to play flyball but she would rather visit the line judges than run down the lanes! She loves playing frisbee and chasing geese though! |

Raine is an Australian shepherd and was adopted from rescue in 2008 when she was just over one year old. When she joined our family, her calm, happy temperament was obvious right from the beginning. She loves kids and adults equally, and gets along great with other dogs. She loves riding in the car, worrying the cat, and chasing horses. Her pretty blue eyes attract attention wherever she goes and she'll always offer a cheerful wiggle in exchange for compliments. Raine is registered through Delta Society Pet Partners and has been participating in See Spot Read since the spring of 2009 |
